Orange produces medium weight shiraz, and proudly so. Ross Hill 'Jack's Lot' Shiraz is deep crimson, with red edges. Red fruits; liquorice; woodspice; plums and violets lead the aromatic charge. Sure-footed and agile – this is not built as a blockbuster – rather, a wine that seeks to tell a story rather than finish it. The palate reinforces the message – brightness, and red-fruit acidity allow the just ripe fruit to speak of the cool-climate. Absolute respect for fruit from the winemaker.
